Realizing the need of quality Engineers for Industries, a forum to create awareness on “Engineering Placements and Opportunities” was organized by ROHINI College of Engineering and Technology, Anjugramam, Kanyakumari dist for its Placement Cell Members on 12th of July 2018 under the guidance of Dr. K. Ganesh, Global lead Supply Chain Management, Center of Competence and Senior Knowledge Expert at McKinsey Company.

The discussion was under the august presence of respected chairman Shri K.Neela Marthandan, venerable Managing Director Dr. N. Neela Vishnu, Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, Head of the departments of all streams, Placement Cell Members. The main objective of the meeting was to expose faculty to various innovative academic approach in different fields and “Enable students to take up entrepreneurship ventures, Collaborative Internship, Free Lunch Expertise/Internship Concepts so that they could become job creators rather than job seekers”, said Dr. K Ganesh. He advised to change the default style of student resume by adding unique skills like People Leadership skill, Firm leadership Skill, Projects relevant for the betterment of the society. He encouraged faculty to create an Expertise Profile according to their domain knowledge to analyze the problem and solve the issues in the industry to create a good relationship with Industry and for better placement.

Engineers are really important to build knowledge based economy and an innovative economy; to compete globally .It is the duty of educational institutions to mould students with conceptualized professional skills and People leadership Skills. For this to happen, the students must be taught the education in different approach. We are committed to meet the industries expectations, as we understand the needs well. How we learn and how we teach are changing drastically and fast according to the developments in the industrial sector, both software and manufacturing, as we want to keep pace with the fast developing world and offer the best of the human resources to the corporate and industry and in-turn make a better Nation.
