Technical talk on recent trends in civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering at Rohini College of Engineering and Technology organized a one-day technical talk titled "Recent Trends in Civil Engineering" on January 27, 2026. The program aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and evolving industry standards, providing students with insights into the modern technologies shaping the infrastructure landscape. The session was delivered by Er. R. Ramachandran, a distinguished veteran in the field and former Superintending Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD). With decades of experience in large-scale government infrastructure projects and public works management, Er. Ramachandran brought a wealth of practical knowledge and administrative expertise to the forum. The program commenced with a welcome address by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, followed by the formal introduction of the chief guest. Er. Ramachandran engaged the students through an interactive presentation, sharing case studies from his tenure at the PWD to illustrate the evolution of engineering practices from manual supervision to automated monitoring.
