One-Day Workshop on "UI/UX Design with Figma Bootcamp”

The Department of Computer Applications successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on "UI/UX Design with Figma Bootcamp" on 23 July 2026 (Thursday). The workshop was conducted to introduce students to the fundamentals of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design and to provide hands-on experience with the Figma design tool.

The session was handled by Ms. Pavithra Balan, Lead Engineer, Anshos Tech.,who served as the Resource Person. She explained the importance of UI/UX design in modern software development and highlighted current industry practices. The workshop covered key concepts such as design thinking, user-centred design, wire framing, prototyping, layout design, typography, color theory, icons, and responsive interface design.

During the hands-on session, students learned how to use Figma to create user interfaces, design mobile and web application screens, develop interactive prototypes, and collaborate on design projects. The resource person also shared practical tips, shortcuts, and best practices for designing attractive and user-friendly interfaces.

The workshop was highly interactive, with students actively participating in practical activities and discussions. They gained valuable exposure to UI/UX design principles and improved their design and prototyping skills. The participants appreciated the hands-on learning experience and the practical insights shared by the resource person.

The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students clarified their doubts regarding UI/UX design, career opportunities, and industry expectations. Overall, the workshop was informative, engaging, and beneficial, enhancing the students' creativity, technical knowledge, and confidence in designing modern digital applications.
