Onam Celebration

The joyous festival of Onam was celebrated by our college on 14th August 2026 with great enthusiasm, traditional spirit, and festive cheer. The celebration beautifully captured the cultural essence of Kerala, bringing together students and faculty members in a lively and joyful atmosphere.

The celebration featured a variety of traditional and entertaining activities, including dance and singing performances, the grand arrival of Maveli, and Chanda Mela, which added colour, excitement, and festive spirit to the occasion. Students enthusiastically participated in the various programmes, showcasing their talents and celebrating the rich cultural heritage associated with Onam.

As part of the celebration, the Department of Computer Applications actively participated by creating a beautiful and colourful Pookolam. The students worked together with great enthusiasm and creativity to design the floral decoration, reflecting the traditional spirit of Onam. This activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, cultural awareness, and unity among the students.

The Onam celebration provided a wonderful opportunity for students and faculty members to come together, enjoy the festive spirit, and strengthen their bonds beyond the academic environment. The delightful performances, traditional activities, Maveli’s arrival, Chanda Mela, and beautiful Pookolam decoration made the celebration a memorable and enjoyable occasion for everyone.
