The second-year students of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) department conducted an industrial visit to Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Company Limited (KEL), Mamala unit, on Saturday. The visit was organized as part of the department’s industry–academia interaction initiative aimed at providing students with practical exposure to major industrial manufacturing processes in the electrical sector.

The team was welcomed by the KEL technical staff, who offered an overview of the company’s legacy as one of the key public-sector manufacturers of electrical equipment in Kerala. Students were given a guided tour of the production divisions, including the transformer manufacturing unit, structural fabrication section, and testing laboratories.
