COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING) ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION (2026–2027)
The Inaugural Function of the Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) Association – ZETOX was held on 13 July 2026 at Rohini College of Engineering and Technology. The event marked the official inauguration of the association activities and the Installation of Office Bearers for the Academic Year 2026–2027. The programme was organized with the objective of encouraging students to develop their technical knowledge, leadership qualities, communication skills, and innovative thinking through various technical and co-curricular activities conducted under the association.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) Association at Rohini College of Engineering and Technology was formally inaugurated on 13 July 2026 with great enthusiasm and academic excellence. The event marked the commencement of the Association's activities for the academic year, with a vision to foster innovation, research, technical competency, and industry-oriented learning among students.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of the College Chairman, Mr. Neela Marthandan, Pro-Chairman, Dr. Neela Vishnu, Managing Director, Dr. Blessy Geo, and Principal, Dr. R. Rajesh, who presided over the function and inspired the students with their valuable presence and encouragement.
The programme commenced with the rendition of Tamil Thaai Vazhthu, invoking a spirit of knowledge and cultural harmony. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Abilash, a third-year AI & ML student, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and guests. This was followed by the presidential address by Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, who emphasized the significance of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Intelligent Automation, and emerging digital technologies in transforming industries and society. He encouraged students to cultivate analytical thinking, interdisciplinary research, innovation, and problem-solving skills to meet the evolving demands of the technology sector.
The Chief Guest, Dr. J. K. Deepak Keyens, Team Manager, Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), delivered a highly informative technical keynote address on the latest trends in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, and Intelligent Data Analytics. He highlighted the growing role of AI-driven solutions in digital transformation, discussed current industry expectations, and provided valuable guidance on developing technical expertise, industry certifications, coding proficiency, research aptitude, and professional competencies essential for successful careers in the rapidly evolving IT ecosystem.
The Head of the Department, Dr. I. Vallirathi, introduced the newly elected office-bearers of the AI & ML Association and outlined the Association's vision to promote technical excellence through expert lectures, hands-on workshops, hackathons, coding competitions, industrial interactions, research initiatives, innovation challenges, and collaborative learning platforms. She encouraged students to actively participate in these activities to strengthen their practical knowledge and enhance their employability.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sivatharshini, a third-year AI & ML student, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, dignitaries, Chief Guest, faculty members, student coordinators, and participants for contributing to the grand success of the programme.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The entire event was meticulously organized under the guidance of the Association Faculty Advisor, Mrs. S. Devi, Assistant Professor, with the wholehearted support and coordinated efforts of all the faculty members of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, ensuring the successful execution of this significant academic event.
