RAIDA Association Inauguration Report

The RAIDA Association Inauguration of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Rohini College of Engineering and Technology, was held on 8th July 2026 at 2.00 p.m. in the Imperial Hall. The programme marked the inauguration of the Association for the academic year 2026–2027 and the installation of the newly elected office bearers.

The programme commenced with the Lighting of the Kuthuvilakku by Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, and Ms. Mary Aux Presly, Chief Guest. The gathering was welcomed by Mr. Mohamed Nabeel N., General Secretary.

Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, delivered the Presidential Address, encouraging students to actively participate in the Association's technical and professional activities. Dr. T. Sudarson Rama Perumal, Head of the Department, introduced the office bearers for the academic year 2026–2027, who were formally installed by the Chief Guest. The Annual Activity Plan was presented by Mrs. N. Arul Sumathi, Assistant Professor and Faculty Advisor of the RAIDA Association, highlighting the technical, academic, and professional development activities planned for the year.

The highlight of the programme was the Guest Lecture delivered by Ms. Mary Aux Presly, who shared valuable insights on emerging technologies, career opportunities, and the importance of continuous learning, innovation, and skill development.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. S. Santhiya, Treasurer, expressing gratitude to the management, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for making the event a grand success. The inauguration served as an inspiring beginning to the Association's activities and motivated students to actively participate in its initiatives throughout the academic year.
